thankful // strawberry fields forever
37/100
I am thankful for this beautiful day we spent in a strawberry field. My friend Alanna came to visit from Newcastle and we spent the day picking little berries and delighting little people. Goodness me those fresh strawberries were the most delicious ones I’ve ever tasted! Do you live near a strawberry patch? You simply MUST go there and take your little ones! It was so much fun and well worth the $12 we paid for our punnet of strawberries. Mmmm. For those of you who are local to me – this strawberry patch is in Bli Bli, Queensland.
Does anyone know where we can go pick other things? Picking fruit is so much fun and it definitely made the kiddos want to eat them more than they would have if they’d magically appeared from the shop.

Gorgeous photos as always and i love Priya’s sweet dress!
Will be interested to see the responses to this as i took my little ones strawberry picking recently too. They absolutely loved it (and so did i!) and i really want to continue with more fruit picking adventures. Only places i could find out about were apple picking out at Stanthorpe.

Shame that no one could tell us what else we can pick and where! Hmmm. I will have to go sluething on my own. I really want to go pick something else. Apples would be fun! So would grapes!

Yelling DON’T GET DIRTY every three seconds helps
Haha. Not really. These pictures must hide the dirt well because she DID get quite dirty. Not so much mud but she had strawberry stains everywhere. I was so worried as the dress is very special (a 1950′s original) and I was freaking out it was stained for good!

Too Cute! Beautiful photo’s! Sure makes me want to go strawberry picking too!! Plus I live in Caloundra, so not far from a WHOLE lot of patches!!!
I have been tomato picking, but trust me you don’t want to do that! and its not for kids!! I did it while on my work and travel visa, trying to get 3 month regional work!!!! Strawberry picking looks a LOT more fun!!!!

Thank you Sarah! Yes, I don’t think tomato picking sounds anywhere near as fun! I actually really struggle to eat tomatos too so the idea of picking heaps of them makes me feel quite ill! Also, strawberry picking as WORK wouldn’t probably be fun either. I was very glad when we left our patch after an hour!
