Meet ‘Lisa’ the piggie formally known as Pixie but named by Peach as ‘Lisa’.

The little words of love she whispers to her make my heart just about die when I know that Lisa doesn’t have a very bright future (being the babe of a wild sow and thus illegal to keep as a pet). This photo makes it appear that feeding Lisa is an easy task, but it is anything but. Don’t be fooled, wild piglets do not like to be held or petted. The little mama however very quickly developed a knack for getting her piggie where she wanted her and nurturing her like so.

Errol and I had a long chuckle when she so sweetly asked “Mama, why don’t you feed the piggie from your boobie?” … and then Errol showed me this! I may love breastfeeding but um? Not that much!

We adopted some piglets today!

I’ve honestly never seen so much cute in such tiny packages.

Right after I snapped this photo of Theo & our piglets – he started trying to feed himself with the bottle. When I advised him he couldn’t have the milk, it was for our baby pigs, his interest in the creatures rapidly waned.

He seemed more than miffed that his three leading ladies (Mama, Bene & Peach) were now cooing over piglets instead of him and has since been regarding the piglets with mild disdain.

(as a side note – how massive are this boys feet? Size 10 now – which is the same as Peach!)

We caught the train to ballet this morning. Our pram was broken and it was pouring rain so it was an adventure and a half. Miss Peach delightedly exclaimed “Hey, they put one of my ballet tings here!” (meaning the barre). She treated us to quite the dramatic (and heart stopping considering the proximity to the rail line) performance. I suggested perhaps that her pink tutu did not match the red leotard and she gave me a long hard look and said “Yes. It does”.

I love her style and I love that she won’t be pressured by me into wearing what I want her to, already so confident in what looks good to her.
