Plans for 2011
Hello there!
You might have noticed some changes around here, I’ve been busy learning how to get my blog doing the things I want it to and it’s been quite a task! I really, really struggle understanding how the internet works but slowly, I’ll get there. Now that the blog is a little easier to navigate and Theo’s project has concluded, I guess I can waste no more time in telling you what I intend to get up to on gregariouspeach.com this coming year.
Riding on the back of two 365 projects I have felt like putting away my camera’s for about 10 years but I know I have to keep creating, so this year instead of the 365 projects, and because I have just SO much free time, I’ve decided to complete TWO different projects instead.
If you will be following this coming year you can expect to see the following projects:
A 100 days of Thankful Project:
Two photos each week of something I am grateful for. These will be posted each Tuesday and Thursday. I am relaxing a little after being very strict with my 365 projects and these will not necessarily be taken on the day or week they are posted (oh the freedom!)
My 365 project was initially inspired by my incredible big sister who completed a beautiful grateful. For a year she took Polaroid photos of something she was grateful for every day. The project inspired many others to do the same and in fact, there is a whole community of people taking time to find gratitude for something in their lives.
My mother and sister are currently making a documentary on how life changing gratitude can be! Please go and check out their amazing site, 365 Grateful to be apart of this incredible project. They also have a beautiful free ebook available to inspire you to start your own project! Did I mention it’s free? Go sign up!
A Fornightly Film Project:
To challenge myself differently this year I will also be documenting the year in film alongside photos. Every 2nd and 4th Friday of the month I will post an ‘episode’ (2-5mins) to document the year in video.
I aim to keep one episode a month themed on something that has been happening that month and the other to document aspects of our lives that I don’t want to forget.
I really hope that you will be able to follow the blog this coming year, I am very excited about my new projects and am looking forward to sharing them with you all. I cannot thank everyone who has already been following the blog already enough. It has been the greatest source of encouragement to have recieved such lovely comments, emails and had friendships formed over the past year. I feel honored that so many people have been a part of our adventure and would be so happy to have you following this coming year!
