watering

When we visit lolo & lola, Theo likes to head out the back with lolo, to be his little helper. I love how Erwin always includes Theo. Letting him water, letting him pick the herbs for dinner, filling his pockets with those tiny little lemon/lime/small thingies that I can never remember the name of.

Okay, this was one of those days where I nearly didn’t take a photo. I’ve been sulking about not having my ‘real’ camera and having to make do with my much older DSRL. Which is silly since as I’ve mentioned before that you don’t have to have a good camera to take good pictures. Plus, my old DSLR is a good camera! I guess I’ve been very spoilt and gotten used to doing this a certain way. So I almost didn’t get a photo for today. Theo however reminded me “take fodo me! take fodo piggy wiggy”.
So let me introduce Piggy Wiggy. This is a pig who lives on three sides of an electricity box near our home. He is a constant friend and the kids stop to say hello whenever we pass. If we have snacks, we share them. Living inner city we are spoilt for painted friends. ‘Chooky Wooky’ who lives up on the corner. ‘Handy Wandy’ outside our favourite camping store. ‘Mazey Wazey’ on the way to the city library. We can almost find our way home by following the trail left by our street art markers. And aren’t we so creative naming them?
