Street Style X 2
Today we went on an adventure to jump in puddles. I had a fresh reminder after discovering Be A Fun Mum about the sort of mum I want to be so out we went to find some adventure. I imagined I’d choose some of those wild muddy photos for today’s photo but I could not go past this one. I don’t like to choose the posed photos but how could I help it? These two are too much for me sometimes.
How is so much cute living in my house?!
Also, it wouldn’t be fair not include my little man in the street style collection and today I give you this – double street style. Theo is actually more particular about what he wears than Peach was at his age. How I mothered such fashion concerned young people is confusing to me (that is until I look at Errol and it all makes sense). Theo saw that Peach had selected a ‘neckee’ (necklace) for the day and I was beyond delighted when he went to find his own (the same ones he used to carry as a baby).
family bed
At our morning nap – refuelling together on love, sleep, cuddles and the scent of the ones we adore.
I’ve written a few times before about how much I love sharing our bed with our children, if you’re interested.

hide and breast seek
For a long time I didn’t understand why you would shut your eyes like this while nursing.
Every time I’d glance down to look at you you’d quickly squint them closed and curl yourself smaller into my body.
Then one day it dawned on me. I was watching you play hide and seek by hiding in the middle of the room with a face washer covering only your eyes and I finally put two and two together – if you can’t see me = I can’t see you.
And now it all makes sense.
You happily nurse away but if I happen to look down at you – your eyes are shut, willing me to think you’re not still there and thus, procuring the longest breastfeed possible. I can’t help but think you’re brilliant and thus, it always works
spots
I am pretty sure that living in a city where things like this are free for kids makes us some of the luckiest people in the world. I felt very ill in this room with all the stickers, but you just seemed fascinated by how they all got there. Happily adding your own to the masses.
Being school holidays this exhibit was packed. I tried for a long time to get a photo of you here but people kept walking in front of you or blocking the shot. Then, suddenly in the maddness everyone seemed to move behind walls and you were alone for a few seconds, I couldn’t believe my luck.
