In our underground car park there lives a pink moped. If the owner isn’t careful, I think a little lady is keen to adopt it!

Today was Zen’s 4th Birthday Party – Dinosaur themed. His mama puts so much loving effort into her parties – it makes me terribly embarrassed about the ‘meet us at the park’ for Theo’s birthday last week! At Zen’s party there was an excavation pit with sand a dinosaur eggs buried inside. Theo came home with many treasures and we’ve all been excitedly checking on our hatching dinosaurs!

Pearl and the Beard are the sweetest little pop/folk trio and their songs make my heart very happy.

While waiting for the reply email from Family Records, I trawled through all their music I could find online; wondering which song they wanted me to make a film clip for.

When I heard their song ‘Prodigal Daughter’ my heart skipped a little beat and I thought to myself “Oh, I hope it’s this one” and… it was.

If you didn’t see this on Facebook last week when I shared it (or even if you did), please enjoy the little music video I created for the band. I must admit, it was a lot of work, but I am very happy with the finished product. In nearly every scene, cheeky Theo is to the side of filming trying to get into the shot, haha

As you can tell, Peach worked very hard as an actress. She was paid for her work in small change and was told, since she earned the money herself, she could buy whatever she wanted. I should tell you that right after filming finished she marched into the toy section and chose herself some sparkle paint & play make up – her sweet round eyes challenging me to tell her that she wasn’t allowed it. She *isn’t* allowed make-up but since I told her she could buy whatever she wanted … I honoured my word. Home she came, proudly clutching it. Happily as she applied it in the mirror she said “when can I be an actress again? I need more make-up”… so yeah, she’s pretty much a professional actress now

Now, I don’t often ask you to share things but… if you liked this music video – I would love you to share it online or buy the album.

Pearl and the Beard are incredible band and I would love more people listening to their happy, heartwarming and eclectic music.

Daddy dressed them today, including the wraps.

Pretty sure he couldn’t make me happier.

I have been trying to instil a habit of thankfulness & gratitude in the children so whenever we visit a place I ask them to thank it when they leave. Today, as we packed up our pram and bathers from South Bank, Peach offered her first unprompted thank you

“Thank you beautiful sunshine and purple flowers, I really like your pool”.

And my heart skipped a few happy beats.

This evening I packed up the kids and the pram and walked over to South Bank. We swam, picnicked and explored our city on little feet. Today was the first time the kids discovered the Nepalese Pegoda tucked away in the bushes at South Bank. Eyes wide in wonder they explored and I was struck with complete thankfulness that we live in Brisbane City, filled with so many beautiful delights to discover.
“I scared elephaaaant” said Theo when he wobbled up there “It’s okay Feo, just hold onto me” she replied.

G: “P, can you please come here?”

P: “I can’t muuuum, I am reading to my brother while he does a big poo”.

Today was the day we took the plunge and put you in undies.

This was your first time doing a poo on the loo and we were all very excited for you.

Isn’t it strange, maybe you’ll be reading this when you’re all grown and laugh to think about us peeking through the door and being beyond elated when you took a crap.

You little people do funny stuff to us parents, what can I say?

This evening after their bath and pj’s change, Peach requested to go see her papa down at the station. Theo piped up “Goodnight. Daddy. ME!” so off we went to say goodnight to Daddy. A short stroll in the cool summer evening and I was struck again by how utterly lucky we are – to be able to pop down in 5 minutes to say goodnight to him.

The little Peach is in love with Annie at the moment. We’ve had the little dog she’s holding, ‘Sandy’, toted around for weeks. Time stood still for her today when she rounded the corner and saw this sweetheart. “Saaaaandy” she sighed, rushing to press her own Sandy up against the glass. “Rang tang, tang” she said while calling the puppy. Oh how much I wanted to buy him and hide him in our apartment for her
